Rosebloom Rush
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a short game I made to bring starii_petuniia and I's Rosebloom universe to life! It's a simple deckbuilding game where you can try to beat the game with different deck types.
A more detailed breakdown of how the game works as well as a deeper dive on the lore of this world can be found in the Downloads section as txts, sorry for how basic it is, but it's just for those who are curious about it.
Open to any feedback about this game! Just keep in mind I made it in a month just for myself to play so I wasn't really thinking too much beyond just getting a game done to have fun with.

Game is fun and the worldbuilding seems cool. Greenpetal seem a bit OP but maybe I just stopped playing too early. Also the strategos guy with 100% weaken is awesome but surprisingly balanced since most fights have a billion enemies and you can't split your attacks between two targets.
Haha yeah Greenpetal has a lot of cards that scale well with each other. While it's low-key cope on my end, I do find that different deck types can also be played like different difficulties.
Poison is for sure one of the harder decks to beat the game with from my experience.
Thanks for playing!
Came back and agree. It's fun that each house has something different, though, and treating them like different difficulties is fine. I think my main thing with Greenpetal is that their hero isn't a named character and doesn't benefit from Holly's Blessing nearly so much as the rest of their cards, but considering the timescale this was made in, that's a very minor gripe. I think the art is great, btw! It is very fun.
Appreciate the love! Yeah there was a Greenpetal hero named Cassandra that we have in our lore that I didn't end up adding to the game since her design wasn't as fleshed out as I'd liked it to be. If I had more time, I would've also loved to throw in more of the royal Crownflower family.
But I will say that this isn't the last you'll see of this world and characters! My game studio is working on a few other IPs at the moment, so it may take a few years before a proper production for the Rosebloom universe. But there will be more of it to come!
The Wilthmother has been defeated!
It took me 3 tries, the first time I defeated 28 waves using crude damages, the second time I died against the final boss focusing on piercing damage and I eventually won using poison and a lot of blessings.
I had a lot of fun. I love the artstyle of the characters on the cards and the specificities of the game fit well together, using exactly 2 cards each turn and trying to build your deck so that it's best with this in mind, with the obvious example of owning just enough blessings that you don't get to play those. Finally each part of the game is well balanced, you're rarely sure of what event and card to choose and your hps as your opponents' decrease at the appropriate pace.
Thanks for sharing!
Hey CryptRat, really appreciate the feedback! Thank you so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I definitely had to playtest a bunch to get the balancing to where it is now hahaha.
